Best Cleaning Schedule for Busy Families
A schedule that actually works for two-income, kids-in-school families — what to outsource, what to keep up between visits.
Outsource the deep work
Bathrooms, kitchen floors, dusting, vacuuming, mopping — all the time-consuming work — goes to your cleaning team on a bi-weekly or weekly schedule.
Keep up the daily basics
Daily: dishes done before bed, surfaces wiped, one load of laundry per day, beds made, 10-minute pickup before bed.
Weekly: kitchen sink scrubbed, trash and recycling out, fridge cleaned out, a single deeper task (oven inside, garage tidy, etc.).
Quarterly resets
Twice a year, book a deeper clean on top of recurring — usually spring and pre-holidays. This keeps the home at a high baseline through the year.
